I DO

TEAZ FLOWER

I don’t doubt one bit your take on depression,
But my perception is a tad acute as I’ve learned my lesson
Let me just say it takes much more than ‘deep rest’ to kick it
It’s like hitting a wrong note in a song
Or listening to a bad song repetitively
The choices are to, 1. Keep practicing to hit the note
2. Don’t listen to that bad song
3. Put it on 78 RPM to laugh
The song (memory) remains, but it no longer affects your mood the way it first did)
Honey, we’re all that sweaty guy/gal behind the curtain striving for maintenance of ideals
Surrender and acceptance is everything when it comes to overcoming circumstances out of your hands
When faced with the decision of a daydream or day job, one should choose BOTH
My boss isn’t hurting me, rather, he’s herding me
Seems I’m everyone’s possession…
It’s a mystery nobody popped the question
They just pop me a weasel
And I responded with a teazel
Even so, I still say, ‘I do, I do, I do…
…believe in ghosts!’ as the cowardly lion once stated
And really, my love, I’d be better off sedated
Even though I feel elated and celebrated
I do believe in the power of love
And I’ll gamble everything on that feeling so that we win every time
In the meantime, I plan to keep the rhythm and the rhyme
(And I’m feeling so sublime that this poem could go on until the end of time)

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
