Intermission

984-intermission.jpg

I’m not a Granny yet my hair is blue
How did this happen? What can I do?
Shall I take a stroll with Walker?
Or does he think I’m a stalker?
It’s all only in my mind
Since four-thousand miles divide
And I really did choose the best option
Given the circumstances of adoption
Yes, my child, Paradise will suffice
(It is my last resort…my only vice)
I only aspired to be a Mother
Which I’ve succeeded twice-SMOTHER
Yet, they say three times’ a charm
So if I’m willing, don’t be alarmed
It could be my middle-aged phase
Even so, I’m hardly amazed
That this may be another aspiration
In my movie of life, it’s just intermission
And I saw no apparition to scare
Me out of my dreams of despair
Even if nothing cures the human condition
A new life to grow helps the competition
Of achieving happiness, joy & attention
It’s a brave undertaking to mention
But I’m sure G.I. Joe will come through
To assist in this battle we live through
So what if I have a little Joey?
As a kangaroo I’d bounce to Kahului
Or even Australia for that matter
Whenever I go heart will not splatter
It still beats so strong in my chest
And y’all can just fill in the rest
Because you still don’t know my intentions
It’s all prayer for divine intervention
And I can understand your concern
But as for me, there’s no other way to learn
Except the hard and the fast
Even so, memories always last
And I can’t stay stuck in the past
My ship is a sailin’ as I heighten the mast
Whatever I do, I will have me a blast
All fear, doubt, and worry…I cast
Into the dark sea that once held my soul
But now I’m free to happily cajole
For it’s my way to kindly console
My thoughts of the cherries in bowl
As for my dream to procreate
There’s a reason why I speculate
The magic number is three or four
And my heart now has an open door…

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
