Hi! My name is Tangerello! I’m Lemeeka’s sistah! My favorite song is, ‘Lucy in the Sky’ because the lyrics speak of tangerine trees and marmalade skies. The song also inspired my Mommy who gave me this name. I get how Lemeeka seems to think privacy is very important, but sometimes she misses the point in that none of what we do is private anyways. What’s done in the dark is seen in the light. Maybe not right away, but certainly as time marches on. I get a kick out of attending my evangelical church. It’s very, very liberating. Yeah, we praise God through songs, speak in tongues once in a while, fall over backwards at the hand press to our mind’s eye location at our foreheads, and consume cookies and coffee afterwards. It’s so much different than the traditional church of my childhood which had controlling elements implemented (‘Please rise while we sing hymn number such and such’) It seemed like we were attending another class at school and it would always be a man leading everyone. School’s out for summer for me. I never could understand why they said ‘Amen’ instead of ‘Awomen’ or refer to things as he, him, or his rather than he/she, him/her, or his/hers. Maybe it’s subliminal programming. I don’t really know, but I’m not a computer. Lots of books I’ve read were that way too. But at the evangelical church, though there’s a male or female leader, the congregation is free to blurt out loud, ‘Thank you, Jesus!’ or ‘Praise the Lord’ anytime the spirit moves them to do so. Seems we involve our whole bodies more with putting our hands up in the air, clapping, and dancing in place too. I really, thoroughly enjoy the uninhibited spontaneity of it all. Our structured lives shouldn’t spill into religion so much. Sunday is supposed to be our day off (for Christ’s sake-literally) So, whatever your religious affiliation or agnosticness or atheism, please try to have a little fun with it. My designer, Bognetta does. Her real name is Bonita Louise and her Mommy must have known what she was doing when she named her. It means, ‘Beautiful Fighter Warrior’. She IS! Her Daddy nick-named her ‘Bonnie’ and she wound up travelling across the ocean-go figure! Well, blessings to you all!
Mahalo! (Thank You!)

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
