Gather at the Harbor

945.Gather at the Harbor (Stir it Up)

My job is to paint the perfect picture
My job is to pen the perfect poem
My job is to spread the joy around
My job is heavenly bound
It is my wish to live in bliss
To those I give a virtual kiss
Maybe my goal is amiss
Even so I insist to persist
When one asks if I’m laughing or crying
I tell them ‘both’ in my perplexed sighing
It’s as close as I get to the truth
When they ask in a tone so smooth
As I ponder the many possibilities
It makes more sense to feel the breeze
Though they throw the book at me
I give it back so easily
But whether words are on a page
Or spoken with one’s lips
They both can do harm
Both ways will sink ships
Even so, we may gather at the harbor
To celebrate a race in their honor
For if you harbor resentment and hate
How can an ordinary day be great?
And now my friends, I’ll fly away
Across the ocean without delay
As I sit along the shore, we’ll all be happy evermore
(Although you’ll all want more!)

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
