GPS

925.GPS (Fantasy Isle)

Took a wrong turn or maybe I missed
I can’t quite tell and the time? I kissed
Lost on some old country road
With no food or gas so I’m told
Praying to God I can coast on fumes
At least I’m not off a cliff-body exhumed!
The GPS was incorrect with its direction
And I can’t get turned around-I lost connection
I’d blame somebody else if they were a passenger
But it’s only me and so I’m just a messenger
Don’t shoot me down in the gas station or diner
As I tell of my ignorance, which couldn’t be finer
Nope! I’m not from around here
But you’ve nothing to fear
As I’m clueless without a compass
Don’t tell me North, South, East, or West
I only know my left from my right at best!
At least I’m not broke down
In some strange, backwoods town
I tell myself this as my better position
Than what could have been (I’m fishin’)
But as I coast to my next ghost
Town with hosts I’ve never met
They all can call me out
As my ears are always wet!

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
