Soldiers

881.(Soldiers) Such a Lucky Love!

Everyone’s in a self-absorbed gaze
I wish that they’d open to be so amazed
So somber and fixed on a goal
Not some major plan, but a foal
They march along as soldiers doing their duty
Crabby and stern-never shaking their booty
They never really lighten up
To see the beauty – full is cup
Instead they are dreading their day
Not knowing the secret of play
In other words – can’t separate their minds
To think work is pleasure at the daily grind
But I could not blame their sternness of thought
So tight in the box, but hopefully not wrought
Of loneliness, heartache, or pain
Why must they disgust in their strain?
If only the clock could unwind
To a splendid place and extraordinary time
Back to their happy place
Perhaps that could put a smile on their face!

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
