Be

With all the actions come repercussion
It’s no wonder I like to play percussion
Since it’s an uplift from the lull
That life brings us when it’s dull
With all of our fury, can you see us scurry?
Away from emotions run wild
Chasing rainbows as a child
Styling in our flash, we’re mild
Put it on and take it off
Never mind the awful scoff
Of our parents in the den
Acting like our mother hen
Windows open, curtains closed
Show is over, breathing Rose
Buds are blooming, river flows
Then I sneeze and blow my nose!
I’m not high – there goes my kite!
Flying off into the night
Time Tell, she was a sight
Dolly drove me nuts alright!
Always telling me a time
For to eat or for to rhyme
And I craved for some new phrase
But she left me in a daze!
Ran away to see what makes me
Swallow hard within my safety
Net has caught me in a rut
Mouth is mostly always shut!
Contentment in my skin
Is the calm I find within
Playing to my own sound drummer
Some days smart & others dumber
Yet I take them all in stride
As I hold on tight this ride
Don’t let go & never cease
Carry load or be the fleece
Shakespeare saith, “be or be not”
Doesn’t matter, body rots
But the world in all it’s glory
Never ends despite the gory
So we’ll be all that we are
Matters not whatever scar
Try to open or to pick
History repeats, but won’t stick
Us all into these categories
Compartmentalizing all these stories
Still, there’s two sides of the coin
With a cloth, we cover loins
Still we do the bump & grind
With each syllable and rhyme
That we speak with silver tongue
Licking lips for what’s to come

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
