Suds

Suds

Suds
Sitting along the beloved edge
Seems like nowhere with a fringe
Lunatic in the sun, I start to singe
I’d go out on a drinking binge…
Naw, don’t need to pickle teenagehood
So I found me a brand new neighborhood
Mostly it’s grumbly and sometimes conniving
You gotta watch out who’s playfully jiving
Since it’s all done from curiosity
Excuse the animosity
I smell fruit loops in the wind
Everyone’s a next of kin
And dinner’s tail without a fin
Beggers can’t be choosers-just cruisers
Who enjoy making a scene & being part of it
Telling large tales for the fun of it
And nevermind the heat when it’s time to eat
Authority speaks of structure and prediction
But we’re spontaneous and have our addictions
Every day i’m in the spectator’s seat
Never getting too close when I just want to eat
Antagonistic is our environment
But like water off a duck’s back – I admire it
To stay too long, we outwear our welcome
Still we try to linger, but we are a falcon
And we’ll always know our crest
Forgetting all imbalance in our nest
In our heads we’re eating steak, it’s best
Oh, it’s all good & well, but hot as hell
That’s the gist of it down here
We’d all like to drink a beer
To drown in all the suds
Hotel’s bathroom I will flood!

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
