Knock on Wood

Knock on Wood

Knock On Wood
What becomes of love unrequit?
Seems like forever you’re in a pit
Scratching and clawing to escape
Feels so intense – like a rape
Except you’ve committed and fell
For someone who just wants to quell
All the love you carry for him
And assign it as only a whim
Yet why should he care of your thought
He walked off and let your love rot
But you saved it again from suffocation
It still resists annihilation!
Taking not possession
Only seems as an obsession
Because it’s so strong, it belongs
But really, it’s all just a song
Yes, all senses are attuned ‘cept for sight
He will smell, touch, and taste you despite
All his rebelling can’t diffuse
Concentration of love cannot lose
After all, it can’t be helped
That desire we both felt
‘Tis true it got you good
Friendship is left – knock on wood

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
