Lingering Fool

Lingering Fool

Lingering Fool

The second she saw the mist
She could not hold back or resist
The magic of his shadowy figure
Made her cry, made her linger

She tried to put a square peg
Through a round hole
But only half of it fit
How could she be whole?

As she remembered how she tried
She realized it folly to confide
For everyone would laugh
Just thinking square going in half

Yet she could not stay blue
For the true love that she knew
Even though it didn’t fit
Her tongue could not stay bit

She may have been a fool
To forget this simple rule
But then she was so blind
She kind of lost her mind

When she sees him once again
Both walk tall and don’t pretend
They know the shape of it all
And they simply do not call

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
