Johnnie Walker is liquor I keep on my shelf
Whenever I need him, I just help myself
The effects are intoxicating, that’s true
But the liberation leaves me as if I flew
Away to a land of fantasy
Dangerously close to ecstasy
But I know it’s a figment of my imagination
When the effects wear off, is there appreciation?
For then I go back to the 9 to 5
And twenty-four hour nose to grind
Reality so common, its pain
With only his memory sustain
He’ll be in my heart and my soul
And I will so gently cajole
For it was not playful treachery
But rather the taunt of his lecture, See?
An intellectual seduction of the mind
We played it so well…and the find?
That love knows no bounds at all
Even with the elixir, this alcohol
So whenever I need a swig
Or want to remove leaf of fig
I try not to drink too much
It’s nice that we can keep in touch
