Lesson in Dreams
Crafts, hobbies, tasks, and errands
Whatever you name the actions
It matters not since they tax
‘Tho strenuous and straining
We’re hardly complaining
Otherwise we sit in a mood
That wants its own way and we brood
About where we should be in life
Are we ever happy? NO!
Everything’s moving along too slow
Even when we reach our dream
There’s just another ladder
What can we do to remedy this?
I guess all we can do is kiss
The asses, the babies, our friends
The kissing’s how everyone fends
For their sanity, being, and pride
Until we are taken aside
To be told that we need to do better
The blame or the scapegoat, our fetter
All over again, so it seems
And this is the lesson in dreams
