Could be a Laugh
How do I write without poetry?
It’s sweet and it’s rich like a melody!
Like all dreams of past, the memories last
And all the injustice seems fair
Talk about risking your breath
Going back can be visiting death
Yet that is the courage…to not get discouraged
Since tragedy could be a laugh
Maybe each chance won’t be fruitful
Yet gamble it not, it’s a spoonful
Of bitterness and worry
Throw dice to stop fury
And, yes, I have just said a mouthful!
The winning doesn’t matter that much
As long as you know of a hunch
that things can be possible
It’s mission impossible
Yet trying is its own reward
