What About the Wildflower?

What About the Wildflower?

What about the Wildflower?

What about the wildflower?
Who’s grown so many shades?
What about the wildflower?
Whose stems, strength hardly fades?

It’s true they do not grow as neat as hybrids
But they from nature care not when they’re fed
All over the place in many fields
While domestic ones must have their shields

What about the wildflower, growing untamed
It’s only their nature and need not be blamed
For they spread their beauty everywhere
And do not feel timid as fragrance they share

So out of control when spreading their seeds
They pop up in places along with the weeds
Just sprouting up wherever wind sends
They’re out in the meadow where any road bends

These beautiful flowers can be hard to find
Whenever they’re picked, they also don’t mind
Unlike the wanted ones fresh in the garden
They never say, “Buddy, I beg of your pardon!”

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
