Recycled Aluminum

Recycled Aluminum

Recycled Aluminum

Once I was a popular cola
That everyone would drink even if had me stolen
Empty the can after drink
Then squashed me to make me their link

Recycled aluminum’s what I became
First melted, then flattened…so gleamingly lame

Then know what happens to me?
Why then I’m a new drink of soda to see
But now it’s not all who would choose me
To be their soda, they’d rather just lose me

Guess I’m not popular kind
That everyone likes, but I do not mind
I’m patient to wait on the shelf
Since I taste okay when I’m all by myself

For if I would advertise the taste,
They’d only consume me and this would be haste
Since I would want them to savor
With taste buds so conscious of my lovely flavor

The drinking could last a long time
With no expiration of date like a wine
And there would be no substitute
Attempts to replenish supply, I’m astute

And I would not let you run out
I’d only be so hard to find, out and about

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
