Mother-In-Law

Mother-In-Law

Mother-in Law

Mother of my husband, Jeff
Married husband with a cleft
I’m not funnin’, though of this
Only writing peaceful bliss

Thought you would direct my acts
But not too quick to know the facts
That I could be dissatisfied
Oh my dear, how I have flied!

Explored the crannies in the dark
I hardly knew, it’d leave a mark
I could not bear to settle down
To be a maid for your son, clown

The woman does not clean up mess
Of which the husband with he bless
Instead the man must pick up his
If you think not, it’s not your ‘biz

Anyway, I do my best to defend
If you attack, your words won’t end
Since I have right to speak my part
I take not words of yours to heart

Of course I’m never good enough
To fill your shoes with ‘rightful’ stuff
At least I have a well-lived life
Don’t know if I fit role of wife

But at least I’m getting by
Not making homemade apple pie
Just though I’d let you know though, Honey
He’s not alone in making money

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
