High as an Elephant’s Eye
Oh, the dishes pile up high!
They can nearly touch the sky!
May I say, I’m just too worn
Just like you when I adorn
Pour the water, Fluff up suds
As I see affection duds
Sparks, quite frankly, would not fly
So corn’s as high as an elephant’s eye
I hope you would not dread the hour
Of pots and pans to scrub and scour
Maybe then you could just rinse
Stubborn ways and reluctance
If only you would love me madly
Why maybe I would help out gladly
So tonight, let’s just make music
Dishes clean before you lose it!
