* One More Hour *
Just one more hour, or two, maybe three
I just don’t know yet how long it may be
Enjoying this time with the rays coming down
I can’t leave just yet. Otherwise, I would frown
So kiddo, you’re bored and have nothing to do
I’m sorry, my dear, but relaxin’s not through
So dig up a rock in the soft, claylike earth
Sand’s easy to move no matter the worth
That should keep you busy, at least for a while
Don’t know what else could ever get you to smile
You’re hot and you’re bothered, you want to go home
But I say, “Scan the beach, shells you find when you comb!”
I’m laying around and hearing the tunes
From some other source while you’re building the runes
Then I look up while flat on my backside
Big monster looks back from the clouds and subsides
Oh girl, you’re not bored, at least not with me
This world can be what you imagine to be
Now so many people have climbed aboard too
Okay, we’ll soon leave, I can do that for you
