Gingerbread Cookie

Gingerbread Cookie

Gingerbread Cookie

How much do you know of me?
You turn the lock without a key
And tie me to a rocking chair
So helpless as you watch and stare

But that was all just in my head
I freed myself from awful dread
To check the knot you tied so well
You asked me, “How’s your living hell?”

The answer that I call right back
Is “Where’s your spine, you yellow back?!”
You look around a bit dumbfounded
“Where are you”, the guilt compounded

The knot you tied was not secure
I smell the presence of manure
Ha, Ha, can’t catch me, now I dare
A Gingerbread cookie from fox, no snare

I barely made it and I pant
Thank God, Thank God, I still recant
If not for this small intervention
I’d be gobbled up, just had to mention

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter!
