Do Not Laugh

Do Not Laugh

Do not Laugh

Are you laughing at my heart?
I just want to say, don’t even start
As romantic can be, it’s not hilarious
It’s who I am and you live vicarious

It pains me when I laugh along
For it’s my lovely, best sung song
The notes are hit with such emotion
I sing it when I get the notion

Even when I see their back
My love for them would never lack
Even cowards need attention
And when they’re found, I break their tension

This love could never be a joke
It’s bolder than reluctant folk
You may giggle just a little
But I am serious, so don’t you fiddle

Determined as I ring your chime
I know you’re home; you’ll come around in time
If you may smile admiringly
I say you can’t spread sparingly

You must go out to plant your seeds
Instead of waiting to get some leads
So go about and do not laugh
‘Cuz if you do, it is your wrath

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
