Beach Day’s Not Gray

Beach Day's Not Gray

Beach Day’s Not Gray

It’s calming, embalming yourself on a beach
Sun lotion in places you hardly can reach
Not asking of someone for which to assist
I’ll say it’s the sun which so harshly had kissed

The peace and the quiet too much for the tots
The sands of the beach serve as comforting cots
The sweet breeze from water distills in the air
And soon I can find that I haven’t a care

My friend said it was not quite a beach day
But she was mistaken, it only is gray
So clouds serve as filters to cut down the glare
With sunglasses on, we discreetly can stare

A butterfly flew so directly nearby
I think I saw one, maybe two dragonfly
My sunhat protects tender skin on the scalp
The drinks I brought with me have also been help

Loud yells from the young ones, they keep me in line
From entering world too distinctly sublime
Yes, I feel so good with the warmth of the sun
I’ll come here again where the day’s never done

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
