Wary of a Bitter Root

Wary of a Bitter Root

Wary of a Bitter Root

Bad thoughts of you, I did throw away
They harmed me and you, and only decay
Love does not die, even when it is over
Think after this I will play in the clover

I want a four-leaved one to uplift my hour
To aid in the making of sweet from the sour
A dandelion I spy, oh, what is with it?
It’s roots are so long that it sticks when you lift it

Oh sunlight of sparkle, Oh rays of great power
Oh twinkle of dew, Oh rains of the shower
Talk to the winds so whippingly strong
And tell them to blow off this feeling of wrong

Delighted was I as soon as clouds drifted
They passed by so gaily, my mind was soon shifted
Smiling and happy and dancing throughout
The storm has now passed, “Alleluia!” I shout

Good thoughts of you I now keep inside
Protect me from harm ‘cuz the truth I can’t hide
You’re wonderful; you’re marvelous, and ever so precious
But the fact is, my lovely, it could become vicious

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
